I have been building a Vendor Management program for a small community bank and I really struggle to get information for Due Diligence on Equifax, Experian, and other credit bureaus. How do you handle these vendors normally?

I go through our sales representatives.  It can be difficult sometimes as they don't want to complete the questionnaires but I push back and then they complete them.

The matter Is dependent on what elements define the term diligence. Though I am operating on a very large scale, I have language represented in the contract for agreement to the fulfillment of the request for diligence material as well as language for the right to audit compliance to the related TPRM / infosec / privacy contractual requirements.  Gives teeth,   Grrr.

Equifax has a website, https://securityreports.equifax.com/, with most of the documents you need. Your salesperson or account manager should help you gain access to it.

I haven't had problems receiving any from either. I did a review just recently on Equifax and was supplied with everything I need. Experian is due, so we will see. J
