Often referred to as “vendor management,” it’s the process of fully identifying all of the significant companies that aid in the delivery of a product or service to an organization or to an organization’s customers on behalf of the organization. It involves controlling costs, driving service excellence and mitigating risk to gain increased value throughout the deal lifecycle.
