  • 1.  Where to Source Data Breach Records

    Posted 04-28-2021 09:46 AM
Hey All - Up until this past year our third party risk assessment process utilized the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse breach record database to help apply risk ratings to existing and potential new third parties. However, since January 2020 the PRC has not updated the list and we are now searching for alternative ways to source and utilize a similar data set that includes up-to-date records, as knowing which organizations have been recently compromised is immensely important. Does anyone know of a reliable resource that can provide such information, whether free or a paid-for subscription?

    Thank you!

This site has annual listings, including the worst breaches so far in 2021 (so many!):  https://www.identityforce.com/blog/2021-data-breaches

Thank you Kate :) Hoping for something that can exported as a XLSX or CSV, but this is certainly a start!

PRC did a great job pulling together these records from multiple data sources including HHS's breach records: https://ocrportal.hhs.gov/ocr/breach/breach_report.jsf

Simply having found anything of a similar repository.
