    Hello everyone!

What is an ethical code of conduct? do all the vendors need to sign it?
What does it cover and what are the consequences if not signed by all the vendors?
Does it apply to all the vendors PO based and contract based vendors?

Hi! I found this article to be extremely helpful regarding code of ethics:

    https://www.contractscounsel.com/t/us/code-of-ethics

As it pertains to vendors and who it should apply to, I would say it would be okay to have anyone sign it that is willing to sign it. This helps add legal leverage to the gray area of expectations. It's an added layer of protection from some of the more subjective issues that may come up.

Would any organization have the gall to reject signing a code of ethics? Wouldn't that be a pretty handy red-flag in and of itself? Does anyone have more experience with an established code of ethics incorporated into their vendor management program that they can share?

You should request and review your vendor's Code of Ethics policy and if it is not satisfactory, add specific provisions to contract.
