Curious to see anyone's due diligence tracking spreadsheet. For example, how to do you keep track of when you sent annual due diligence request and when do you follow up. How are you setting reminders so follow ups aren't missed?

If you're tracking due diligence on a spreadsheet like Excel or Google Sheets, there might be some options to set notifications/reminders that can alert you to follow up on a specific day. However, I don't know if there's a simple way to deliver those reminders by email, so you might still need to search through multiple sheets or workbooks. You can also just set regular calendar reminders through email. These options might not be very efficient, especially if you have a large vendor inventory, all with different due diligence timelines.

In my experience, it's easier to track due diligence requests on a software platform because it's more customizable. You can generally set reminders to be delivered on a certain date and sent to specific individuals for follow-up. Some solutions will also allow you to automate those follow up requests, so you don't have to worry about missing a vendor document that's about to expire like an insurance certificate or a SOC report.

I hope this helps a bit and I'm interested to learn how other members are tracking their due diligence requests.
