Anytime a contractor will be accessing either our building or our company information, we confirm that a background check was completed, including what is looked at (employment verification, criminal history, etc.). Then depending on what they are doing for us, we will ask if they have had training, ie ITSecurity or Privacy, etc.

What type of due diligence or vendor questionnaires are used for contractors such as IT vendors deploying a new software? This vendor/product relates to intranet migration (access to intranet will be provided).
