Is everyone reevaluating their business continuity and disaster recovery plans now? We're looking at ours to see where we can improve. What are you adding to your pandemic planning moving forward?

    Thanks!

I'm sure everyone is doing daily de-briefs and capturing what they wish they had added the day past.

This is one that will always be a living breathing document, especially while you are in the heat of the moment.

I'm not sure what sector you are in, but Lenders Compliance Group is offering a free Business Continuity and Pandemic response workbook for the financial sector.

Also, the Government has a great resource to walk you through some steps as you think through business continuity.  https://www.ready.gov/business-continuity-planning-suite

Communication is top add.  Spin up groups quickly decide where updates will be posted what information is needed.  Defining critical functions with the organization, and within individual department to allow for moving resources from one area to another as needed.

    What are you adding?

Right now we plan to revisit our operations plan to ensure it is well developed and that it includes a solid plan for moving employees to a safe location, as needed, in the future. I'm sure we're going to reevaluate our departmental plans to verify the staffing plan is sufficient and also our communications plan to confirm if it met or did not meet expectations and then go from there with further updates.
